8 November 2003 -- The November issue of the newsletter has been re-published. My deepest apologies for breaking the copyright laws in publishing "Happy Birthday." While ignorance is no excuse, I must plead ignorance -- I didn't know that it had already been published and copyrighted (had I known it, I wouldn't have spent 30 minutes on the practice chanter and the music writer software figuring it out!). Thanks to Iain Sherwood of Cuillinn Craft for pointing out my error. Iain gets a free lifetime subscription to the Newsletter for his diligence. Oh, wait. The Newsletter is already free! Thank you, Iain, for keeping us on the "straight and narrow."

6 November 2003 -- We regret to inform you that MSgt Bailey has withdrawn his name from the ballot. He posts the following explanation: "Due to my recent selection for promotion and impending move, along with other personal things, I must tender my resignation and ask that my name be removed from the ballot. Thanks, Dennis."
MGySgt Bailey: We hate to see you leave the leadership, but wish to express our heartfelt thanks for all that you have done. Congratulations on your selection. We wish you and your family all the best in your future assignment/duty station. We also look forward to hearing from you and the great things that you will continue to do for our Corps and our Network. Semper Fi!

4 November 2003 -- The October issue has now been published on the website. At almost 5 MB, this is our biggest edition ever! Please make sure to "Save it To Disk" before opening it. Simply hover the cursor over the link, right-click, and "Save Target As" to whatever location you want it. Then, open from the hard drive and read it at your leisure. This is a completely new format for the Newsletter, and I would greatly appreciate any feedback you may have.
Remember, all of Volume One of the Newsletter (10 issues from October 2002 to September 2003) is available for free. You can download it yourself, or send me a blank CD-R/RW and I will make a copy for you. Please do not delay! I will be removing the FY2003 Newsletters from the website soon.
NEWSFLASH!!! Calling all Members and Associate Members. Please make sure that you click on the "Ballot" box above and vote for the FY2004 Officers and Committee Chairs. The virtual voting booth closes on 8 November. Please hurry!!!!
